Abstract. On the basis of field and scientific materials the article for the first time introduces the research tasks to analyze the specifics of the elements of the furniture of the Komi-Zyrian traditional izba of the beginning of the XX century. The author identified stable areal tendencies in technological, spatial-plastic, decorative aspects. The paper also discovers the artistic and esthetic preferences of the ethnos in the choice of the compositional means of harmonization in traditional ethno-design.
