NATURAL AND ECOLOGICAL CONDITIONS FOR THE GENESIS OF PERSONALITY THROUGH THE LENSES OF GEOGRAPHICAL DETERMINISM (BY THE EXAMPLE OF SMALL TOWNS OF VOLOGDA REGION)

Abstract. The article examines the influence of natural conditions on the genesis of the personality of the residents of the small towns of Vologda region. Relying on the conception of geographical determinism the author justifies the relation between natural and ecological conditions and a number of personal features of the representatives of the North; mentions the specifics of the interaction of the small town residents with environment, concludes that the affinity of the small town resident with environment is a condition for the harmonious development of the personality.
