ORGANIZING TRANSPORTATION OF RECRUITS IN SIBERIAN AND TRANS-BAIKAL MILITARY DISTRICTS IN THE YEARS OF THE GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR

Abstract. The article on the basis of a wide range of sources examines the organization of the transportations of military-age youth in Siberian and Trans-Baikal military districts in the years of the Great Patriotic War. The paper analyzes the objective and subjective factors influencing the process of the transportation of the recruits. The author identifies the peculiarities in the planning and organization of the transportation of the recruits from remote northern regions to backup and training units. The paper focuses on showing the cooperation of the local bodies of power, military commissariats and military units to implement the established plans on the transportation of the recruits.
