Abstract. The fundamentals of the conceptual model of ethno-cultural interaction are examined in the article. Ethnic needs satisfied by social communities in various spheres of vital activity make up a structural basis of the model. The author suggests considering ethnic needs through the functioning of various spheres of society, thus the needs of the ethnos are divided into separate groups - ethno-political, ethno-social, ethno-economic and ethno-spiritual ones.
