SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH OF THE YUKAGIR LANGUAGE IN THE XX CENTURY

Abstract. In the article on the basis of the analysis of archival and published source material the history of the activity of native and foreign scientists in the XX century concerning various issues of the Yukagir linguistics is examined. Thereby the leading specialists, who worked on the development of the problematic under consideration, are named; the subject matter and main directions of their investigations, and also the most significant statements formulated as a result of the researches are determined. Besides, the importance of the chosen period for the formation of contemporary scientific idea about the Yukagir language is shown.
