SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL PROGRESS IN THE USA: SOCIAL AND PHILOSOPHICAL FACTORS OF MILITARIZATION OF POLITICAL REGIME

Abstract. The interdependence of the technological supremacy of the state in military sphere, on the one hand, and imperial ambitions - on the other, is a subject of the research of the article. The mutual influence of regimes and scientific and technical progress is objective: it is determined by the needs of the thorough development of society and its defence from external threats, but it is connected with the task of keeping and strengthening these regimes themselves, thus it has a militarist component as the dominant one. The ideology of militarism examined by the example of the USA is admitted to be a key factor subordinating the life of society as a whole to military goals, which leads to the further political authoritarianism of "superpowers" in the world geopolitical arena.
