Abstract. In the article the functions of the common ethnic law of Perm peoples are revealed and analyzed. Special attention is paid to the consideration of the general theoretical concept of the function of law and its characteristics. Such types of the functions of the common ethnic law of Perm peoples as general-social and special-legal are researched. The author makes attempts to identify the regularities of common ethnic law functions and their peculiarities and gives examples, which reveal the features and essential characteristics of the common ethnic law functions of Perm peoples.
