INTERREGIONAL YOUTH FORUM "ETHNIC CULTURE IN THE MODERN WORLD" AS ONE OF THE FORMS OF ETHNOCULTURAL EDUCATION AT THE MARI STATE UNIVERSITY

Abstract. The article is devoted to analyzing one of the new forms of ethnocultural education developed and successfully implemented at the Mari State University. The goal of the paper is to show that the interregional youth forum "Ethnic Culture in the Modern World" not only complements and extends students’ knowledge in the sphere of traditional folk culture but also allows integrating the educational and research and creative activity of students. By concrete examples the author proves that using such form helps to promote these types of activity and to involve into ethnocultural space a wider range of students from different educational institutions.
