RATIONAL-PANTHEISTIC FOUNDATION FOR HUMANITY IN SPINOZA’S PHILOSOPHY

Abstract. In the article the works about humanity of one of the greatest Dutch philosophers of the XVII century Benedict de Spinoza are considered. The ideal of a man of humane character as realized by the philosopher embodies the image of a sage. A sage unlike a common man understands his life purpose, can control his passions and loves God. The author concludes that Spinoza saw natural and divine origin in a man and believed in his inclination to the performance of humane deeds.
