FORMATION OF LINO-ENGRAVING OF KHARKOV IN THE 1950-1970S: GENERAL TRENDS, REGIONAL FEATURES

Abstract. The article for the first time analyzes the development of engraving on linoleum in the art of Kharkiv in the 1950-1970s. The author proves that this period is characterized by the intensive development of lino-engraving and its dominant position among other techniques of engraving. The main regularities of the formation of engraving on linoleum in the Ukrainian graphic arts, which are reflected in the local art space, are ascertained and the regional features are determined. The little-known works of Kharkiv authors analyzed taking into account modern researches in art criticism are introduced into scientific circulation.
