REGIONAL CENTER FOR PRODUCTION OF FOLK PAINTING NIANHUA IN TAIWAN

Abstract. The article for the first time in the Russian Sinology considers the main features of the process of the formation and development of a regional center for the production of xylographic painting Nianhua in Tainan city of Taiwan. The author pays attention to the influence of the traditions of regional schools in Fujian province on the art school of Tainan. The conclusion is made about the considerable potential of Nianhua for studying the cultural space of the region under consideration.
