POLITICAL-EDUCATIONAL WORK OF PIONEER ORGANIZATION IN 1926-1929 (BY THE MATERIAL OF PROVINCES OF THE UPPER VOLGA REGION)

Abstract. The article is devoted to the political-educational work of Pioneer Organization in the period of 1926-1929. Its main forms including participation in various campaigns, fees, work on anti-religious and international education, acquaintance with military training are considered. Against the background of all-union tendencies the specificity of the situation in the Upper Volga region is revealed (within the boundaries of Vladimir, Ivanovo-Voznesensk, Kostroma and Yaroslavl provinces). The author concludes that the formal, without regard to age peculiarities, political education of young pioneers led to the disappointment of children in pioneer organization.
