ENERGY COOPERATION BETWEEN THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA AND THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION IN POLITICAL ASPECT

Abstract. The article considers the political aspects of energy cooperation between China and Russia. On the basis of the conducted research the author suggests to distinguish some political aspects of energy cooperation between the People’s Republic of China and the Russian Federation: energy security, the creation of energy mechanism and the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) Energy Club. The researcher analyzes the specific features of the energy security of China and Russia, examines the policy implemented by China and Russia with a view to provide energy security. The paper also emphasizes the role of the Energy Dialogue "China - Russia" and the SCO Energy Club in the cooperation between the People’s Republic of China and the Russian Federation.
