Abstract. The article presents new characteristics of social and philosophical knowledge about confidence in the form of the levels of the categorization of this phenomenon and its categorial and paradigm scheme. The author formulates a thesis that the theoretical and social-practical investigation of the social phenomenon of confidence on the basis of interdisciplinary approach is a background for the identification of the internal gnosiological and ontological and also external axiological and praxiological characteristics of confidence through a set of interpersonal, personal, institutional and sociocultural factors.
