Abstract. The article is devoted to the theme of intertextuality, which is considered for the first time by the example of modern fashion illustration actualizing actively the artistic devices of art. With the purpose of the revelation of the main regularities of interaction between illustration and works of art the most topical forms of intertext for illustration are identified, the comparative analysis of specific works is made. The spheres of the practical application of the research are suggested.
