Abstract. In the article the political program of monarchists in Georgia, the requirements for a potential Georgian tsar on the part of monarchists are analyzed. The author, studying the political theories of monarchists, the monarchist perception of the Democratic Republic of Georgia and the negation of the soviet experience, concludes that the Georgian monarchism in the modern period develops as a form of civil political nationalism. Special attention is drawn to the religious rhetoric of monarchists. It is shown that monarchism is a synthetic ideology, which actualizes civil political nationalism and traditionalism.
