THE FOURTH POLISH DIVISION IN THE CIVIL WAR IN THE SOUTH OF RUSSIA (1918-1919)

Abstract. The article is devoted to the history of the formation and functioning of the Polish voluntary military unit - the fourth division of the General L. ?eligowski in the South of Russia in 1918-1919. The author makes a special emphasis on the Entente countries’ lack of unified plans regarding the unit and this allowed the Polish state authority to use it mainly in the state interests of Poland as they were understood by them. This work is the first independent publication in the Russian language about the fortune of the fourth Polish division.
