TECHNO-SCIENCE AS FACTOR FOR DEVELOPMENT OF "SOCIETY OF KNOWLEDGE"

Abstract. The article examines the conceptions of "society of knowledge" and "science" as the key characteristics of a new social formation - techno-science, which appeared as a result of the interaction of science and technology. Techno-science is characterized by four interrelated elements: science, business, mass media and society, and its activity is aimed at the satisfaction of the technological needs of the latter. At the same time, solving the tasks in hand, techno-science raises a number of specific problems.
