ON HISTORY OF POLITICAL PENAL SERVITUDE ORIGIN IN TOBOLSK

Abstract. In the article the formation of political penal servitude in Tobolsk at the beginning of the XX century is under study. The evolution process of convict prisons from criminal to criminal-political ones during these years spread across all the penal servitude system of the autocracy. Tobolsk convict prisons also developed in this direction: political prisoners became an important factor, which influenced all the sides of relations within prison. The goal of the work is to reconstruct the origin process of political penal servitude in Tobolsk: to identify the parties transported under guard that included the first political state convicts, who arrived in this Siberian town.
