CONTRIBUTION OF P. A. STOLYPIN INTO DEVELOPMENT OF LEGAL POLICY IN SPHERE OF INTER-CONFESSIONAL RELATIONS

Abstract. The article reveals the contribution of Pyotr Arkadyevich Stolypin into the solution of inter-confessional conflicts during the period when he served as the Minister of the Interior of the Russian Empire, and later as the Prime Minister. The analysis of Stolypin’s opinions and actions in the aspect of the development of legal policy in the sphere of inter-confessional relations is made on the basis of public speeches, letters and other written sources, and also the opinions of his contemporaries. The author makes a conclusion about the enormous contribution of P. A. Stolypin into the development of the freedom of conscience in the Russian society of the beginning of the XX century.
