CONCEPTS "PREJUDICE" AND "SUPERSTITION" IN RELIGIOUS-RATIONALISTIC DISCOURSE OF THE MIDDLE AGES

Abstract. In the article the concepts "prejudice" and "superstition" are considered as the integral elements of the Middle Ages mentality, various assessments of the medieval society by different authors are given. The author of the paper tries to reveal the essential distinctions in the semantic characteristics of the analyzed concepts on the basis of different historical and philosophical sources including theological discourse.
