Abstract. In the article the author considers various approaches to the notion "legal system" and on the basis of their analysis suggests her own interpretation of this notion. In addition, the article considers the peculiarities and main components of Germany legal system. As a result, it is concluded that Germany legal system is a historically conditioned and objectively formed set of the legal phenomena, institutions and processes that consolidate and maintain stable relations in the state.
