INTERDISCIPLINARY RESEARCHES OF GORNO-ALTAISK STATE UNIVERSITY IN STUDYING THE ALTAIAN SCYTHOLOGY AT THE PRESENT STAGE

Abstract. The article presents the results of the research activity of Gorno-Altaisk State University in studying the Altaian Scythology over the past 20 years. It is mentioned that the discovery of a woman mummy on high plateau Ukok became a starting point, which contributed to the formation of new interdisciplinary research directions going far beyond archaeological methodology. In particular, the author emphasizes the activity of the International Altaian-Belgian expedition and the University interdisciplinary researches in Corny Altai.
