Abstract. The article analyzes the issues of the development of musical art in North Ossetia in the second half of the 1940s - the first half of the 1950s, the basic tendencies in the development of musical culture are revealed, the impact of ideological and political factors on the creative process and the formation of interpersonal relations in the Republic Alliance of Composers is determined. The author notes the paternalistic policy of the local party and state bodies in the organization of musical life in the Republic during the post-war decade.
