CULTURAL MODERNIZATION IN CHINA: TRANSFORMATION OF TRADITIONAL CULTURE

Abstract. The article is dedicated to the problem of China cultural modernization and, in particular, to one of the most important aspects of this problem – the Chinese traditional culture transformation. The author singles out such processes as scientization, social consciousness transformation as the basic content of modernization in cultural sphere. The paper analyzes the influence of environment (industrialization, urbanization, informatization, globalization, etc.) on traditional culture transformation. It is indicated that in the process of the Chinese model of modernization the synthesis of traditional and modern, Chinese and Western cultures occurs.
