CANTO AS ONE OF SOURCES OF FOLK SONGS OF LITERARY ORIGIN

Abstract. The paper tries to investigate the problems of the sources of the folk songs of literary origin. Scientific originality is secured by the choice of material and the nature of its interpretation: for the first time the penetration of canto into folk tradition is investigated by the example of the traditional singing folklore of Penza region. Complex approach in the work allowed revealing not previously identified processes of author’s sources penetration into folk singing tradition; the results achieved during the research allow introducing a new conception of the genesis and further development of the folk songs of literary origin.
