Abstract. The article contains new information about the tour in Russia of Belgrade Choir directed by the outstanding Serbian composer Stevan Stojanovi? Mokranjac. The paper presents the exact dates and venues of the concerts of 1896 in Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Moscow and Kiev. The interesting programme, which included the Serbian folk songs, excellent choral execution, Mokranjac’s high conductor’s mastery – all of it caused an enthusiastic reception of the public. In numerous positive comments of the press the affinity of the Serbian and Russian folklore was mentioned.
