TRAINING OF WORKERS FOR CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY IN TECHNICAL VOCATIONAL SCHOOLS OF FAR EAST (THE END OF THE 1950S – 1991)

Abstract. The activity of technical vocational schools on training workers for the construction industry of the Far East from the end of the 1950s till 1991 is studied. It is revealed that under the conditions of intensive industrial and civil engineering construction in the Far East the need for labour force grew steadily, and this led to the development of the system of technical vocational schools. The number of schools and the number of students in them grew, and teaching methods were improved. The existed system of technical and vocational education was the main source of personnel recruitment for regional construction industry.
