MARI DRAMA THEATRE IN PRE-WAR PERIOD: PROFESSIONAL STATUS ACQUISITION

Abstract. The article reveals the peculiarities of Mari drama theatre formation during the period of its origin and professional formation in pre-war period. The author analyzes the historical, political, material factors promoting national theatre collective creation and functioning in the Mari Autonomy and its "growth" problems; considers the activity of the Mari playwrights, composers, directors in the context of unique character acquisition by the theatre.
