Abstract. The article is devoted to the analysis of the contemporary philosophical researches of mental disorders. The purpose of the article is, after considering the main directions of work in this area, to identify the specificity that characterizes contemporary researches and to highlight their basic methodological postulates. The author concludes that dialogue between disciplines is accepted by the representatives of philosophy and psychiatry as a guiding principle and it opens great prospects for effective interaction.
