A. N. BORISOV’S WORK AS ONE OF THE FIRST PROFESSIONAL ARTISTS IN SCENOGRAPHY AREA IN ALTAI

Abstract. Aleksei Nikolaevich Borisov (1889-1937) is one of the leading artists in Altai, who played the great role in the formation and development of professional art and education in Altai region and, in particular, in Barnaul in 1920-1930. The scenographic trend of the artist’s work is considered in the article basing on the documentary materials and works that are in the collection of Altai State Museum of Fine Arts, and the analysis of his scenographic works is given.
