KOMSOMOL AND ATHEISTIC EDUCATION OF YOUTH IN THE 1920S (REGIONAL ASPECT)

Abstract. The article is devoted to one of the leading directions of the state youth policy during the first years of Soviet power – atheistic education. The main role in the formation of young people’s materialistic world-view was given to Komsomol. By the example of the Far East the author studies the interrelation of Komsomol antireligious work with the tasks of new society development. Special attention is paid to the forms and methods of antireligious propaganda that were chosen according to concrete political and economic conditions.
