TOWN CULTURAL CODE VISUALIZATION IN IMAGE COMMUNICATION WITH NEW MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES HELP (SEMIOTIC APPROACH)

Abstract. Internet development promotes regions intercultural connections expansion and causes towns "virtual competition". The necessity of "presence" in the Web conditions the search of the relevant methods of the town positioning and promotion on-line. In the article the problem of new media underestimation as opportunities totality of Internet, multi-media and the digital formats of communication in the process of the town digital image formation is actualized. In this connection the town cultural code revelation and its visualization by means of new media technologies seem to be a promising way of this problem solution. Cultural code phenomenon essence and its role in image communication process are revealed from semiotic approach positions.
