MILITARY-TECHNICAL COLLABORATION OF THE USSR AND GERMANY IN SPHERE OF NAVAL EQUIPMENT AND WEAPONS ON THE EVE OF GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR (1941-1945)

Abstract. In the article the main directions of the Soviet Union and Germany military-technical collaboration on the eve of the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945) are revealed in the sphere of naval equipment and weapons in 1940-1941. In concordance with the Soviet-German trade agreement from the 11 ^th of February, 1940 contracts were made between the USSR representatives and the German firms on the purchase and completion in Leningrad of the heavy cruiser "Lyuttsov", and on some naval ordnance samples delivery from Germany. The content of these agreements and their realization are demonstrated on archival sources basis.
