EVENING EDUCATION IN TAMBOV REGION AT THE END OF THE 1950S

Abstract. Basing on the materials of Tambov region the evening school role in the struggle against illiteracy and semiliteracy at the end of the 1950s is revealed. The great efforts of state, party and Komsomol organizations in evening education development as well as failures and contradictions in the activity of regional evening schools are shown. It allows concluding that people’s education practice was not sufficient for that period demands.
