STEREOTYPES AS SIGN OF SOCIAL NETWORKS USERS’ SOCIAL AND GROUP IDENTITY (BY MATERIAL OF FOCUS-GROUPS)

Abstract. The purpose of this article is the analysis of stereotypes as a sign of social and group identity formed on the basis of different social networks. The article presents the authors’ vision of the theoretical foundations of this approach. For the first time the authors describe the existing stereotypes of the Russian and Western networks and blogs users basing on the study of focus-group interviews materials. The authors’ hypothesis on the existence of status networks is confirmed.
