BASIC PROBLEMS AND MODERN STATE OF JUDAIC FEMINISM

Abstract. The article reveals the conception of Judaic feminism, analyzes the history and development of this phenomenon. The emphasis is made on the description of modern Judaic feministic organizations. The author also touches on the problem of "agunah", presents a brief survey of the papers of feministic theologians. Special attention is paid to the analysis of topical issues, in particular, possibility for the participation of women in religious life equally with men (female rabbinate). As a conclusion the author highlights the interest of modern researchers in this problem.
