Kirchanov Maksim Valer'evich
Voronezh State University
Abstract. The author analyzes the main trends of the European policy of Georgia. The aim of the article is to study the trends and perspectives of the Georgian-European relations development. Political transformations in Europe in the context of the actual Ukrainian crisis caused by the collapse of the European integration strategy add topicality to the Georgian European policy analysis. The article provides a brief outline of the contemporary Georgian-European relations history. The author presumes that the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (1996) became the foundation of the Georgian-European relations. Particular attention is paid to "The Eastern Partnership" and the Association between the EU and Georgia. The Association Agreement could be the beginning of a new stage in the contemporary Georgian-European relations history.
