Abstract. In this article the author refers to the creative work of the Russian philosopher and political scientist, one of the brightest representatives of the first wave of the Russian emigration Fedor Avgustovich Stepun. That part of his heritage is analyzed, which concerns Stepun’s views on culture in general and the Russian culture in particular, the crisis of contemporary culture and its impact on both spiritual and political order. These views are compared with the traditions of the Russian religious philosophy that Stepun followed.
