NATIONAL PUBLIC ASSOCIATIONS OF THE SOUTHERN FEDERAL DISTRICT: CONDITIONS OF FUNCTIONING

Abstract. The article considers the national public associations of the Southern Federal District and analyzes the conditions and features of their functioning in the region. In this regard the factors of the activity of these public structures are the following: the social-economic situation of the Federal District; the institution of the Cossacks as a historical condition of the national public associations functioning; and the indicator of the level of the inter-ethnic tension of the Russian Federation constituent units geographically related to the Southern Federal District as a condition and indicator of inter-ethnic relations.
