PROBLEMS OF KOMI AUTONOMOUS REGION ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN 1922-1929 (BY THE MATERIALS OF KOMI REGIONAL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE REPORTS)

Abstract. The article describes the main problems of the economic development of Komi Autonomous Region in the 1920s. The paper shows the functioning of Komi Regional Executive Committee that was the first legitimate authority in Komi autonomy, and which activity was directed at solving the urgent problems of the region. The author pays attention to the level of the development of industry, health and education in the region. The paper mentions the negative consequences of Komi autonomy entry to the Northern territory, after which the autonomy of the local authority was limited.
