Abstract. The article reveals the preparation of the German command to the second general attack of the Wehrmacht at the Soviet-German front in summer of 1942, where the use of tanks played a significant role. The study analyzes the captured German document "The Attempt of Tactical Operations in the East. Tanks and Motorized Infantry" compiled by the combat training division of the General Staff of the land forces of Nazi Germany on the basis of offensive and defensive combats of the Wehrmacht units in Kharkov region during May-June 1942 and dedicated to the instruction on interaction between tank and motorized infantry units.
