SOCIAL-POLITICAL CONTROL IN PARTY ORGANIZATIONS OF ALL-UNION COMMUNIST PARTY OF BOLSHEVIKS OF SOVIET PROVINCE AT THE END OF THE 1920S - THE 1930S

Abstract. The article considers the protocols of party and monitoring committees meetings, which carried out the "purge" of party ranks, and also provides the materials of meetings devoted to the results of new members’ admission into the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks in the period from the end of the 1920s till the 1930s. Having analyzed these materials, the author states that new admission of the members of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks was often carried out for reporting purposes, and future communists did not comply with the requirements. This affected the level of party members’ quality, many of whom did not meet the criteria declared in the society.
