Abstract. The article is devoted to classifying the objects of intellectual property for the purpose of improving the criminal protection of rights to them. The author analyzes classifications available in legal science and concludes that they either developed with the violation of the laws of formal logic or have nothing to do with criminal law. The author introduces a classification of the objects of intellectual property on the basis of distinguishing the spheres of its usage.
