"REVOLUTIONS" IN UKRAINE (2004) AND THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS (2006): COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS

Abstract. In this article the author compares two "colour revolutions": "Orange" in Ukraine in 2004 and "Cornflower" in 2006 in Belarus. Covering all the aspects of these "revolutions" (from preparations for elections to the subsequent estimation of past events by external actors) he highlights those that ultimately affected a certain outcome of "Cornflower Revolution". At the end the author focusing on the results of the comparison and the events of contemporaneity (2014) predicts possible development of political situation in both countries.
