Abstract. This article is devoted to the problem of defining the genre paradigm of All-Night Vigil from the perspective of the exact understanding of this composition belonging to the cycle of chants (which imparts a ceremonial character to this opus) or to the existing model of music genre proper. A sample for constructing a structural-semantic invariant is "The All-Night Vigil" by S. V. Rachmaninov, which analysis is carried out at the paradigmatic level of the whole organization through tonal dramaturgy correlation with the structural logic of the rite.
