DEVELOPMENT OF IDEAS ON WAYS OF REGAL AUTHORITY DELEGATION AND ASSUMPTION IN EAST GOTHIC RENAISSANCE CULTURE: FROM ARCHAIC CODE TO LEGITIMATE GOVERNING CONCEPTION

Abstract. In the article the evolution of ideas on regal authority delegation and assumption ways is considered on the basis of the analysis of the East Gothic Renaissance written monuments. The conducted analysis allowed revealing the archaic substratum of ideas on authority succession according to "ancestors’ customs" covering the process of the East Gothic culture conversion, the Roman concepts reception. The article contains the conclusion that the culture of the East Gothic Renaissance experiences the significant influence of the political agenda of the first half of the VI th century AD reflecting the processes of strengthening the influence of the Amali ruling family and the East Gothic kings’ urge towards being the actual successors of the Roman emperors’ authority.
