FERTILITY AND MORTALITY IN URAL TOWNS IN 1924-1929

Abstract. In the article fertility and mortality are analyzed, on which natality size depended in Ural region towns in 1924-1929; the conclusion is made that during the period under consideration there outlined a tendency to fertility gradual reduction with the preserved quite high mortality of townspeople in the territory. The author compares the rates of population movement on Ural towns with the similar data on the region as a whole, on the towns and urban settlements of the USSR and the RSFSR.
