Abstract. The article reveals the main practical problems encountered while inheriting rights and liabilities arising from ground area lease contract. The regulations of the current legislation governing the order of hereditary legal succession implementation in relation to the rights and liabilities of lease contract parties are analyzed. The author pays special attention to gaps in the existing normative-legal acts regulating the relations that are the object of this article. Basing on the conducted analysis the author reveals the need for changes introduction into legislation, and suggests the concrete ways and means for eliminating the identified shortcomings.
