Abstract. The article is devoted to the research of certain features of heroic songs, which are the dominant stratum of musical folklore of the Abkhazians by the example of three most famous examples of this genre. For the first time in the Abkhaz musicology the attempt is made ?? to synthesize the song at the turn of several genres, including both heroic ("Ozbak"), ritual ("The Song of Wound"), and historical-everyday ("The Song of Rock"), and to show their heroic principle.
